Richard J. Bliss, a volunteer fireman in the area, was cited with suspicion of third-degree malicious mischief after he vandalized a political sign. The sign had been damaged a number of times in the past, and when witnesses observed Bliss damaging the sign and began following him. While following him the reporting party called 911 and spoke with dispatchers at the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. Dispatchers advised the caller to stop following Bliss and that a deputy would follow up with them and eventually ended the call.
