After Action Report Released in Boston Bombing

Just under two years from the anniversary of the Boston Marathon Bombing the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency has released an official After Action Report. The report details the response by multiple federal, state, and local agencies to the bombing, recovery and security operations in the days following, the Watertown shootout and subsequent man hunt, and the location and apprehension of the remaining suspect.

The 150 page report was a joint effort between representatives of the major agencies involved, and makes many constructive observations and recommendations. Many of these recommendations have already been implemented, and are being refined in preparation of this year’s marathon.
