A Lynnwood, Washington man has been arrested and charged with stealing copper from a public safety radio tower. The man had removed the copper from the Marysville, Washington tower’s grounding system causing an estimated $10,000 worth of damage. Dispatchers noticed the man on a security camera that had been installed after previous copper thefts and dispatched police to the scene. After he was arrested the man claimed he had made a “bad mistake” and was addicted to drugs.
