The FCC has fined Sprint $1.2 million after finding failures in their ability to provide captioned 9-1-1 services to disabled users. The outage occurred between March and September 2014, and stopped callers from being able to reach emergency services. Along with Spring their contractors Hamilton Relay and InnoCaption were fined as well. The issues were identified by the FCC during regular test calls.
