The Washington D.C. Office of Unified Communications leader has stepped down amid questions about the centers operations. Jennifer Greene was appointed director of the OUC in 2011. In recent months Greene’s organization has been the subject of major scrutiny due to delays in handling emergency calls, questions surrounding fire radios during a subway fire, and mistakes made by both dispatchers and calltakers. Greene has not made any formal statement linking a recent investigation into dispatching delays to her departure from the OUC.
